Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dawsonville by IHG

We stayed here for two nights during the ice storm. The rooms were clean, and the hotel staff went over and above all expectations. They went out of their way to accommodate my mother-in-law, who is 89. It was very pleasant. They also provided food for the many power company workers who were also staying there.

We stayed at this Holiday Inn for a month after our house flooded. Everyone from the General Manager Freddie to front desk staff Paige, Susan, and Hele (sp?) were incredibly nice and helpful during our stay. Breakfast was surprisingly good each day, housekeeping was great, and maintenance kept guests safe during the ice and snow storm shoveling walkways and de-icing. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Brandy and the staff have been phenomenal; making our stay both comfortable and pleasant. Everyone has been friendly and accommodating to our needs. They have gone to great lengths to make us happy in our stay. The hotel is clean, rooms well serviced, and the included breakfast well-stocked and enjoyable. Great stay, exceeding my expectations for an IHG property. UPDATE - after writing my original review, our room’s HVAC stopped working, and Brandy and the team jumped into action, and set us up into another room right away. Service above and beyond.

They have the nicest staff. We had a long travel day, with several complications, and when we checked in they were wonderful and helpful. They run this hotel like a family.

I travel to Georgia a lot for work and always stay here. The hotel lobby, rooms and outside area is always clean. I see the staff constantly cleaning, vacuuming, refilling the free amenities. Lets talk about the staff, they are the absolute best. Everyone has a smile on their face and is willing to go above and beyond to accommodate your requests. They welcome every person who walks in the door with a warm smile and a cheerful welcome. You hardly find this type of service nowadays. I have been coming here since January and I have had the pleasure to get to know each of the staff members personally. Their warm and kind behavior is not a show, it's truly their personality. The manager who hired them picked the best of the best to represent this hotel. When I'm there, I always stay with my boss's dog Bubbles and they treat her like a queen. She knows after she goes potty she runs to the front desk for her special treat from the staff. Being away from home a lot this is the perfect place to stay when you need a home away from home feel.

My partner and I stayed here as we were in the area for a wedding. The location is right off of SR 400. The room was spacious, clean and modern. I appreciated the DOVE products as I have to be careful about hotel shampoos and lotion. However, I am thankfully not allergic to DOVE so it was nice to be able to use the hotel bathroom products. The staff was helpful and friendly when we had questions. They also gladly took photos of us before we headed out to the wedding event. Normally, breakfasts at places like this are a hit or miss. This establishment was definitely a hit. Coffee is freshly ground from whole beans each time and it is available 24/7. Breakfast was delicious and I especially liked the warm cinnamon rolls with my coffee. If you are looking for a hotel in the area, you will not be disappointed if you choose this one.

If you need to travel to Dawsonville, this is YOUR SPOT! Brandy & Sheryl at the front desk were so helpful & kind all weekend. The staff in general are amazing at this location!! I think the morning breakfast here is better than most IHG ‘s I’ve stayed in. The food choices were more varied & the lounge/eating area was very clean, even though the hotel was pretty busy. The location couldn’t be better as well— shopping & restaurants galore! I had fun at the local Hobby Lobby! And, hubby & I went to a local nail salon to treat ourselves to pedicures (Thank you Angel Nails! Check them out, too!)

We stayed here for 1 month due to a flood in our home. The staff were so welcoming! They made us feel like family. Freddy was a tremendous help to us. The rooms were clean. The breakfast and coffee were great! We felt very safe here. Housekeeping staff very courteous and helpful. The maintenance staff worked so hard during the ice and snow storms to keep everyone safe. The front desk staff gave us great suggestions on restaurants. They were also helpful lending an ear when we felt lost. Susan, Paige, Ali(sp?).
